Our Story

Sauméir began with a simple observation: original art often feels farther away from everyday life than it needs to be.

Built by a father-daughter duo, Sauméir is a Bangalore-based online art studio dedicated to original, hand-painted artworks for contemporary homes and thoughtfully designed spaces. At its heart is the work of artist Pushpa Nath Jha, brought into the world through the business, creative and digital expertise of his daughter, Prerna Jha Saumya.

Our collections evolve across themes, styles and perspectives, guided by curiosity rather than repetition. From figurative and abstract works to divine subjects and everything still to come, each artwork is created by hand and carries the presence of the artist who made it — making every piece one of one, never replicated or mass-produced.

We believe original art shouldn't feel distant, intimidating or reserved for a select few. It should feel lived with — becoming part of homes, conversations and everyday moments. Through thoughtful curation, transparent pricing and a contemporary approach to discovering art, Sauméir is building a space where collecting original art feels natural, personal and enduring.

Prerna Jha Saumya

The artist creates the work; Prerna builds the world around it.

Prerna holds a PGDM in Fashion Business Management (Marketing & Merchandising) from Pearl Academy and a Bachelor's in Fashion & Apparel Design from JD Institute of Fashion Technology. Before building her own ventures, she worked across fashion, e-commerce, branding, digital marketing and talent management, working with both Indian and international markets.

Today, she is the founder of CLOgnito, an AI wardrobe intelligence platform, and Sauméir, an online art studio.

Meet the Artist
Pushpa Nath Jha

For decades, painting quietly existed alongside a demanding professional life. With a career in aerospace engineering and as an AGM at HAL, Pushpa Nath Jha continued developing his artistic practice as a self-taught artist.

Today, art is his full-time pursuit. His work has been exhibited at platforms including Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Chitra Santhe, Jawahar Kala Kendra, Kolkata International Art Festival and India Art Festival, among others.

His approach to art is driven by curiosity rather than convention. He enjoys moving across styles, subjects and techniques, allowing each collection to develop its own distinct language.
